It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Victor VanWieren announce his passing on August 27, 2024 at Munson Hospital, Cadillac, Michigan.
Lovingly remembered by his parents, Victor VanWieren and Carolyn Flore, his sisters Heather (Brian) Eaton and Erin (Kevin) Viel, his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Sandra Meyering; his paternal grandmother, Shirley VanWieren, and his fiancé, Theresa Hughes. He will also be missed by his extended family.
Eric graduated from the Cadillac High School in 2002. He spent his life traveling to new work destinations, checking out the world and coming back to his earlier roots to live. He enjoyed his worktime in the welding world using his artistic abilities to create fashionable fences. He was talented in the kitchen and will be remembered for "his rendition" of Monkey Bread.
Eric was greeted in Heaven by his cousin, Jenna VanDyk, and his paternal grandfather, George VanWieren, and will be there to greet us when we ascend.
A Celebration of Eric's Life for the family will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice of Michigan – Cadillac Office, will be appreciated.
Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light. Matthew 11:28-30 May Eric's humble and gentle heart teach us all to bring our burdens to God.
