Eric Thomas Yost

Eric Thomas Yost, 42, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on December 27, 2025, in Louisville, Ohio. Born on September 28, 1983, in Canton, Ohio, Eric brought joy and laughter to those around him throughout his life.
Eric was a devoted husband to Mandy Yost and a proud father to Alayna and Eric Yost Jr. He also shared a close bond with his stepchildren, Anthony and Ashlynn Alessandro. His family circle extended to his mother and stepfather, Kristy and Eldon Witter, and his sister Dawn. Eric's home was further brightened by the loyal companionship of his beloved dogs, Bailey and Paisley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Yost.
Eric lived life with passion and enthusiasm. He found joy in the simple pleasures-floating peacefully in the pool on a sunny day or firing up the smoker to cook for friends and family. A sports enthusiast through and through, he loved cheering on the Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers, and Guardians. In addition, he also enjoyed the golf course for a leisure round of golf. His adventurous spirit often led him on fun filled family vacations as well as to Las Vegas for excitement and fun. Whether it was the thrill of live music or the thrill of game day crowds, Eric embraced every moment with warmth and humor.
Music played a special role in Eric's life. He especially enjoyed attending concerts, with Brad Paisley holding a favorite spot in his heart, and listening to music at home with his wife Mandy and his kids.
Those who knew Eric remember him as a loving, caring, funny, handsome and amazing man whose presence lit up every room he entered. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 6th, 2026 at 5:00 pm, immediately followed by a small memorial service at 6:00 pm.
