Erica Shyanne Saunders

Erica Shyanne Saunders, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on April 2, 2024, at Randolph Hospice House. She was born on January 10, 2003, in Pinehurst, NC.
At the age of 21, Erica left this world too soon, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. She was a graduate of Uwharrie Ridge High School in 2022. She enjoyed her time in school, finding joy in learning and growing. Erica's faith was central to her life, as she adored the Lord, found solace in attending church services, and expressed her devotion through singing.
Known for her nurturing spirit, Erica had a special fondness for babies and little children, showering them with affection and care. She also found happiness in the kitchen, whipping up delicious meals and finding inspiration from cooking shows. Riding trails with her dad and embarking on consignment shopping adventures with her grandma Hilda brought her great joy. Erica also adored her feline companion, "Possum," who brought comfort and companionship.
Erica's leaves behind to cherish memory, her father, Eric Saunders (Michelle Batten), sisters Rachel Saunders and Amber Latham, mother Starr Laviner (Chris), paternal grandparents Hilda Saunders (Ken Green) and Ronnie Saunders (Tereasa Russell), maternal grandparents Teresa Connor and Gary Laviner, as well as numerous cousins.
A service to honor Erica's life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Eleazer Victory Church in Troy. The funeral will be officiated by Rev. Michael Simmons and Rev. Jimmy Wansley, followed by burial in the church cemetery.
