To the Bertelsen Family -
It is with sadness that I learned of the passing of Erik. I first met him while he was conducting the services for the Catholic Apostolic Church in the City. I was so glad that I had the opportunity to get to know him. Erik knew my Great Grandparents, my Grandparents, and many other family members and friends very well. The Wilson family members spoke of him often. I thoroughly enjoyed knowing such a wonderful person and listening to him enlighten me about my family. His service to the LORD was a marvelous inspiration - He was certainly a light for many people in many places. My condolences to all of his family.

I worked at First Merchants bank when Mr. Bertelsen was president. He was always warm and funny with everyone whether you were a a VP or a cashier. A true gentleman.
