Erik Christian Jensen, 45, of Midland, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his residence in Midland.
Mr. Jensen was born on January 7, 1980, in Dallas, Texas to the late Arne Brichs Jensen and Diane Grothaus Jensen. He was also preceded in death by his father (2023).
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
Erik graduated from Elon University, Elon, NC, in 2005 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Studies and Business Administration; he was a member of the AXP Fraternity. He was married 18 years to Dixie Poole Jensen. His daughter, Sarah, was his entire world. They went to concerts, Renaissance Festivals, music bingo and enjoyed watching the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars movies together.
Erik was an avid Liverpool and Denmark soccer fan; he also was a Duke basketball fan. He was a talented cook and enjoyed being his sister-in-law's sous chef on Christmas mornings. He enjoyed vacationing with his family at Oak Island, NC and in the NC mountains.
Erik was a thyroid cancer survivor. He was one of the organizers for the Dads of Charlotte Group and thoroughly enjoyed the friendships and events with the other dads.
Survivors include mother, Diane Jensen of Asheville, NC wife, Dixie Poole Jensen of Midland, NC. Also surviving are daughter, Sarah H. Jensen of the home; sister, Kirsten M. Jensen of Arden, NC; and numerous extended family members in Texas and Denmark. He leaves lasting memories with numerous friends, coworkers and fraternity brothers.
Memorials may be made to the V Foundation, or donations may be made to CC Griffin Middle School Art Society.
