Ginger Smith Gulledge, 57, of Midland, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville.
Ginger was born February 12, 1968, in South Carolina to Pat Ratliff Smith and the late Jewel Elree Gulledge.
The family will receive friends from 1:45 pm - 2:15 pm, Monday, January 5, 2026, at Locust Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow in the sanctuary, officiated by Reverend Ardy Skidmore. Burial will follow at the Locust Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 607 W. Main Street, Locust. Everybody that attends is welcome to join the family in the fellowship hall for a reception after the burial.
Ginger graduated from Chesterfield High School and then went on to graduate from Chesterfield Technical Community College in nursing with highest marks. After graduation, she worked in numerous areas applying her skills in nursing such as working with children with special needs and with the elderly. She was family oriented and had a heart of gold. She loved to sing while her mother, Pat, would play the piano; they were a wonderful duet. Ginger was also very proud of her brother, Channing, and was often his mother figure.
Survivors include mother, Pat Smith, father, Lamar Smith; son, Thomas Cory Adams; daughter, Carly Jewel Morgan; brother, Channing Lamar Smith II; and granddaughters, McKinley Jewel Morgan and Merritt Drew Morgan.
