Erin Murphy Obituary
Erin Patricia Murphy, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15th, 2025. Born in Spirit Lake in 1958, Erin was a free spirit who embraced life with warmth, laughter, and a genuine love for the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed gardening and loved tending to her plants, always eager to share her wealth of gardening knowledge with others. Erin also had a remarkable talent for preparing delicious food, which she happily shared with friends and family.
Erin had a creative and vibrant personality, which shone through her love of music, sewing, and crafting. She made her home a welcoming space for all who visited, often sending guests home with thoughtful care packages. More than anything, Erin cherished her time with her grandsons–Asher, Arlo, Hyde, and Radner–whom she loved “to the moon and back.”
Erin is survived by her family and friends, who will forever cherish the memory of her infectious laughter and generous spirit.
Erin’s celebration of life will be held at a later date. For more information, please reach out to her family.
Rest in peace, Erin, and may your spirit continue to live on in the hearts of those you loved.
