Erin Sussman Obituary
Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, October 10, 2021, Ms. Erin Elizabeth Sussman, 33, the loving daughter of William and Debra Sussman; sister to Robert Sussman, Sarah Sussman and David Burke; and mother to beloved pups Asher and Sadie. Her aunts and uncles are Lynn Looby (Larry), Carol Sussman and Dale James (Valerie).
Born on September 2, 1988, Erin graduated from Augusta Preparatory Day School in June, 2006 and went on to earn degrees in international affairs & modern languages, with a minor in French from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She then earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law and was licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Florida. She lived in Atlanta for a number of years before returning to the Augusta area to work with her father. Erin was an avid reader and had a propensity for learning new languages. She was fluent in Spanish and French and conversational in Arabic. Her laughter and humor would light up anyone around her, while her advice and insight were that of someone much older and wiser. She was an "old soul" who is gone too soon and will be deeply missed by all.
A private family graveside service will be held with a memorial service to be scheduled for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the animal rescue or shelter of your choice in honor of Erin.

Bill, Debbie, Robert, Sarah and David - I am so sorry for your loss! I cannot imagine what you are going through but I definitely feel your pain and sorrow! Erin was a terrific person and I am so thankful I had the chance to know her all of these years. It is hard to believe I met her when she was only eleven years old and I watched her grow into a remarkable woman. I will never forget her or her beautiful smile! I love all of you like family and my thoughts and prayers are with you everyday!

I´m so very sorry for your family´s loss and pray for comforted hearts for all of you and for all the lives that Erin has touched over the years. I met you when Erin was about 15 or 16 years old and remember her presence at the ice rink from time to time. Especially when her little sister had skating performances. I grew to know Erin in her adult years through our conversations of catching up and have loved hearing how proudly you speak of all 4 of your children.
