Erin Michelle Walker

Erin Michelle Walker, 36, entered into rest Sunday May 22, 2022 at Wellspan York Hospital.
Ms. Walker was born May 30, 1985 in York, daughter of Timothy L. and Margaret J. (Esaley) Walker. She was a graduate of Northeastern York Senior High School, where she was a member of the Girl's Track & Field team, Girl's Volleyball team, the Varsity Club, and was President of the Future Educators of America. Upon graduation, she attended Shippensburg University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree, prior to also receiving a Master's Degree from Wilkes College. She was a teacher in the Social Studies department at Central York High School, where she helped coach the Track & Field team, volunteered her time and resources to set up both educational and recreational events for the students and her fellow teachers, and went out of her way to have a positive impact on every person she came in contact with.
Erin enjoyed helping people, no matter the circumstances. She was always able to see the best in you and would continue to push you until you saw in yourself what she already had. Erin loved running, reading, skiing, teaching, french fries, her morning coffee, Jeeps, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the beach; she loved her dog Roscoe, her family, friends and students, and so much more – but most of all, she loved being a mother.
Erin is survived by her 3-year-old daughter, Charlea Evelyn Walker; her parents; brother Benjamin T. Walker; maternal grandmother Shirley R. Esaley; and loving extended family.
A Celebration of Life for Erin Michelle Walker will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Central York High School Auditorium, 601 Mundis Mill Rd, York, PA 17406.
Memorial contributions & donations may be made to Margaret J. Walker or Timothy L. Walker in trust for Charlea Evelyn Walker at Fulton Bank, 2229 Old Trail Rd., Etters, PA 17319.
