Eris William Anderson Jr. was born March 15, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was one of ten children to Eris Sr. and Dormalee (Land) Anderson. Eris was united in marriage to Shirley Golden on April 13, 1963, and shared fifty-six years of marriage and lasting memories before her passing June 28, 2019. Eris and Shirley were blessed with two children: Tina and Scott.
Eris was a hard worker and dedicated metal spinner with The Premo Company in St. Louis, Missouri until his retirement. He enjoyed helping others in the community and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
In the summer months, Eris loved to visit family in Salem and go camping at Clearwater Lake. He was a devoted family man and cherished time spent with his grandchildren. Eris was quick to bring a smile to his family and friends always entertaining them by showing off his magic tricks.
Eris entered eternal rest on January 16, 2025, at his home in Overland, Missouri, at the age of eighty years. He leaves behind his two loving children: Tina Anderson and Scott Anderson; three grandchildren: Bryane Brady and wife Patty, David Mack, and Zac Campbell and wife Jenna; seven siblings: Carol Potter, Don Anderson and wife Barb, Darrell Anderson and wife Juda, David Anderson and wife Linda, Vera Callahan and husband William, Theresa White and husband Lee, Sharon Lewis and husband Jerry; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his loving wife: Shirley (Golden) Anderson; father: Eris Anderson Sr.; mother: Dormalee Anderson; brother: Robert Anderson; and sister: Virginia Anderson.
Eris was a quiet, softspoken man with very few words. He had a gentle soul and was always kind, loving, and caring. With a heart of gold, he was always there when you needed him. He will be forever missed.
Funeral Services for Eris William Anderson Jr. were held January 16, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Chris Hendrix officiating. Song selections played were "Amazing Grace" and "In Color". Serving as Pallbearers were Bryane Brady, David Mack, Zac Campbell, Johnathan Shelden, David Anderson, and Lee White. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
