Funeral Mass for Erline Juneau Roy of Marksville will begin at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Blake Deshautelle, Monsignor James Ferguson, Fr. Bryan Seiler, and Fr. Derek Ducote officiating. Entombment will follow at the St. Paul Mausoleum.
Erline J. Roy, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Hessmer Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Scarlet Scallan (Brent) of Marksville, Dayna Gremillion (Reggie) of Baton Rouge, Todd Roy (Laura) of Pleasanton, CA, Kyrle Roy, Jr. (Mandy) of Marksville, Trent Roy (Chrissy) of Lafayette, and Cory Roy (Angie) of Marksville; brother, Sherwin Juneau of Marksville. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Those honor to serve as pallbearers: Druit Gremillion, Jr., Kyrle C. Roy, III, Ross Freeman, Jacques Roy, Brenner Roy, and Jack Roy.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Sims J. Juneau, Sr. & Yvonne Rachal Juneau; husband, Kyrle C. Roy, Sr.; son, Clark Roy; brothers, Irvin Juneau and Sims Juneau, Jr. and sister-in-law, Cynthia Juneau.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until 1:15 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
Erline will be remembered for many things. Most especially, her unconditional love for her family, her years operating in the family business alongside her husband, Kyrle, her games of bourrée and the friends it brought and always standing at the stove ready to serve all family and friends that she could while telling family stories about rearing seven children. She will be sadly missed by all.
