Erna J. Zoberis

Erna Jean Zoberis, age 83, was escorted to heaven by her grandson, Zac, on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Erna was born August 17, 1939, in Chicago to the late Chester R. and Jean (nee Mysoglad) Rywniak. Beloved wife of Walter B. Zoberis for nearly 62 years; loving mother of Laura (Ron) Plantz and Craig (Tracy) Zoberis; cherished grandmother of Tyler (Jana) Plantz, Zachary (Kathleen Hough) Plantz; Logan (Angela Jensen) Plantz, Abrielle Plantz, Nicholas Zoberis, Natalie Zoberis, Gillian Zoberis, and Jacqueline Zoberis; dear sister of George (Cheryl) Ryniak and sister-in-law of Barbara (Jerry) Lipinski; loved aunt of Keith, Thad, and Beth Ryniak, and Todd and Brad Lipinski. As Erna learned to live without her hearing, God gifted her with a keen eye and creative sense. Erna was one of the best when it came to decorating and embellished designs, with her work even being featured in Nordstrom stores nationwide. While Erna was a very talented decorator, there was no bigger accomplishment than being "Grandma". Erna adored each of her grandchildren, and enjoyed watching their sports and life moments as they've grown up. This was evident in the "memory room" she maintained in her home to commemorate all of life's biggest moments. She may not be here on earth to witness these moments anymore, the family knows she will be watching from above.
