Ernest Claudio Obituary

Ernest graduated from East New York Vocational School in Brooklyn, NY and went on to serve as an Airborne soldier in the United States Army. He worked as a New York City taxi driver, was owner of Claudio's Delivery Service and was an insurance agent at Equitable Insurance. He loved watching horse racing.
Ernie certainly had a colorful life as those who knew him would remember. He took great comfort, despite his parenting skills, in believing his children are now wonderful adults living beautiful and full lives! Ernie never stopped loving any of them! Being of Catholic faith, Ernie made his peace with God and is now home with Him. Rest easy 'Papi"! We love you!
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Jack Claudio, and two sisters, Anne Figueroa and Irma Coppola.
Survivors include one son, Evan Claudio (Mary) of Erie; three daughters, Stefanie Claudio of Gran Blanc, MI, Michelle Prasad, and Ericka Claudio of Los Angeles; three grandchildren, Eliza and Arden Claudio and Raevan Gregson; five great grandchildren; one sister, Eva Delia; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, http://www.t2t.org
