beloved husband of the late Maxine Combs (nee Rasnake), loving father of Jerry (Mel) Combs and Jim (Susan) Combs, devoted grandfather of Matt (Jen) Combs, Brian (Elizabeth) Combs, Jen Goetz, LCDR Laura Combs, Joshua (James Smith) Combs and Trevor (Hilary) Combs, great-grandfather of Mason Goetz, Hailey, Max and Grant Combs, brother of Gloria Tscheiner, Dolores (late Donald Burke & Harold Adams, and the late Jim (Ginny) Combs and Leo Combs, also many nieces and nephews.
Ernie enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching westerns, sitting outside, spending time with his grandchildren and especially spending his winters in Florida. He leaves behind many friends from the Royal Pelican.
Passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Age 89. Visitation Tuesday, August 9th from 9 AM until time of service at 10:30 AM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd.
Memorials may be made to Shiners Hospitals for Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice of Cincinnati.
