Ernest Ray "Ernie" Leffler, 67, of Mounds, Oklahoma was called home on May 26, 2025, after a brave fight. Ernie was born the only boy and baby to Ray Eugene and Lena Ann (Mitchell) Leffler on October 16,1957 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Baby or not, he was his sisters' protector. He grew up and spent most of his days as a Mounds Devil/ Eagle. Ernie lived in Mounds for 59 years.
He worked for 21 years at Affiliated Foods until they closed their doors and seven years with WSI and eleven years with Tank Consultants until his retirement. Ernie was a family man, he was a loving husband, dad brother and Papa. He never met a stranger and was welcoming to all. There was no mistaking his presence by his boisterous, assertive, potty mouth, though he had a heart of gold. He loved playing softball, going to the casino and front porch sittin'. He was involved with his children as a little league coach with CO Rovang.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Lesia (Tuttle) Leffler of 33 years, sons; Scotty Ray Leffler and his wife Falisha Ollison-Leffler and Kevin Dewayne Leffler, stepsons; Cody Anderson, Brandon Anderson and wife Shelby, his girls; Robin Parker, Addy, Kady and Myle Anderson and grandkids; Tylend Ollison-Leffler, Paisley Williams, Ketton and Kajalend "Mammie" Ollison- Leffler, Darien Leffler and son, Greyson, Conley Hutton and son Zailon, Jaustin Miles, Aydan, Kash, Kynzleigh, Brady, Brentley, and Sydnie Anderson, his sisters; Rita Slife and Rose Leffler and a bonus granddaughter, Hadley Newman. He is lovingly remembered by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents; Ray and Lena Leffler, his sister; Barbara Jean Taylor and his brother from another mother/cousin; Elmer Leffler. Thank you for all watching over us from Heaven's front porch.
His services will be held at 2 P.M. on June 14, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Mounds, Oklahoma.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs, Oklahoma. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Ernest's Tribute Page of our website. www.mcclendon-winters.com
