Ernest "Charles" Lewallen

Ernest "Charles" Lewallen passed away on December 18, 2022, due to a short-term illness. He was born January 25, 1937, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Ernest Vivian and Hattie Beatrice Lewallen. He married the love of his life, Dianne Wilkerson Lewallen, in July 1961 celebrating over 61 years of marriage.
Ernest "Charles" loved his family and giving to others. He loved Jesus with all of his heart and was dedicated to his church. He also attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1959. He served as the President of the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity and graduated with an Accounting degree. After graduating from OU, he became a successful home builder, building over 700 homes as well as managing the family building materials business. During his time as a home builder, he served as the President of the Oklahoma Homebuilder's Association for a time.
Ernest "Charles" is survived by his wife, Dianne Wilkerson Lewallen, three daughters and family, Kimberly Brecheen (David), Tamra McFarlan (JD), Jacque Reimers (Kirk), Son-in-law, Walter Blankenship, grandchildren, Katelyn Hellman (Paul), Lake Brecheen, Kirsten McFarlan, Christopher Blankenship, Taylor Blankenship Jaden Reimers, great-grandchildren, Maxi Hellman, and Harry Hellman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Blankenship. All of these he loved dearly and touched deeply throughout his life.
A viewing with the family will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Crawford Funeral Home, Edmond, Oklahoma
