The announcement was met with lots of joy...as Mr. and Mrs. Newell Moore, Sr. welcomed their third baby boy: Ernest Carl.
He is a Huntsville, Madison County native who in 1974, accepted employment at RAFB, and decided Warner Robins would become home. In the 50 years spent at First Baptist Church, Deacon Moore served with enthusiasm as Sunday School superintendent, deacon, bus driver, senior adult class instructor, Chairman of Deacons, and always available for the sick, shut-in, and those grieving due to death. His outreach has impacted the lives of countless individuals wherever he has gone. Deacon Ernest C. Moore is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marsha King Moore, a son, Fentriss O. Moore, and daughter, Nya Moore Webb (Christopher D. Webb). He loved his family dearly, and enjoyed reading, spending time in the outdoors, gardening, walking & running, along with the art of lawn beautification.
Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Garmon Street. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Josh B. Kirvin, Sr. officiating. Afterward, Ernest will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Ernest Moore to Meharry Medical College at Meharry Medical College at https://home.mmc.edu/give-to-meharry/tribute-gift/ (or Call to Give 615-327-6724) OR Indian Creek PB Church (Youth Department), 380 Indian Creek Road, Huntsville, AL 35806 - Phone: 256-837-2335.
