Ernest F. Tullos

ERNEST F. TULLOS age 70 of Sturgis, Michigan died Friday September 30, 2005 at the home of his daughter in Burr Oak, Michigan.

He was born December 22, 1934 in Liberty, Mississippi a son to the late Leslie & Johnny (Caldwell) Tullos.

Ernie had resided most of his life in the Sturgis area with the exception of the 10 years he lived in Florida.

He was a handyman and Maintenance man having been employed by Sturgis Iron & Metal, condominiums, shopping centers and plant nurseries. He also had been a bartender employed at several area establishments.

He was a member of the Spirit of Truth Church in Three Rivers. Ernie was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 stationed in Japan. He was an active member and past commander of the AMVETS and was an avid fan of professional wrestling. He enjoyed reading his Bible, gardening, fixing lawn mowers and time spent with his family especially his grandchildren.

Ernie is survived by 1 Daughter, Christine Tullos, 7 Sons, Robert Tullos of Coldwater, Doug Tullos of Manistee, Randy Tullos of Kingsley, MI, Gary Tullos of St. Louis, MI, Bruce Tullos of Muskegon, MI, Les Tullos of Sturgis, MI and Ernie Tullos, 3 Step-Daughters, Claudia Muratet and Melissa Robison both of Burr Oak, MI and Cathy Curtis of Texas, 1 Step-son, Raymond Robison, III of Fulton, MI and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 Sister, Martha Ann Keasey of Tucson, AZ, 2 Brothers, James Tullos of Sturgis and Robert Tullos of LaGrange, IN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 step-daughter, Carla Jean Robison.

Friends and relatives may call at the HACKMAN-Foglesong Funeral Home of Sturgis Monday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral services celebrating the life of Ernest Tullos will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Ms. Carol Tullos will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis where full military rites will be conferred by Captain John J. Kelley Post #1355 VFW.
