Ernest A. Turner, Age 84, passed away Monday, August 18,2025, at his home on Bowling Fork Road. Ernest was born on April 6, 1941 to the late, Sidney and Josephine Bartley-Turner. Before his retirement, Ernest was the owner/operator of Ernest Turner Trucking.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Grethel Turner, three daughters, Tina Coleman (Willard), Angie Anderson, and Jeani Bentley, six grandchildren, Tara Durbin (John), Wendy Blackburn (Steve), Jordan Rowe (Ashley), Trista Tart (Ryan), Courtney Anderson, Tyler Bentley, three great-grandchildren, Gunner Tart, Kayden Durbin, and baby tart on the way.
Ernest was a long-time member of the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist church, and a respected man in his community. Ernest will be missed by a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 6:00pm, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, Church service will start at 7:00pm, with Bro. Chris Bartley and Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Funeral Service will be Friday, August 22, 2025, at 12Noon, with Bro. Chris Bartley and Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at the Annie E Young cemetery
