Ernest Williams, Jr, made his transition into eternity on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his residence, 2435 Green Forrest Drive, Decatur, GA.
He was born on September 12, 1951, in Mitchell County, GA, to the late Mrs. Ollie Mae Turner Williams and the late Ernest Williams, Sr.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Ernest graduated from Camilla Consolidated High School in the Class of 1971. He moved to Atlanta and was hired at Western Electric (later known at Bell South, then Lucent Technologies and finally, AT&T). He retired from AT&T after 42 years.
Ernest loved music and so, he enrolled at the Columbia School of Broadcasting. The skills he learned enabled him to become a DJ and he spent a lot of his weekends doing parties as a DJ. He truly enjoyed this experience and was known affectionately as Master E! He was also an avid videographer and recorded a great many family activities and events on video.
His only daughter, Zandra Martel Williams McGee, preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing 5 siblings: Mr. Arthur C. Williams, Sr; Mr. Emory (Delois) Lee Williams, Sr; Mr. Robert (Cassandra) James Williams; Mr. Edwin Williams, all of Metro Atlanta; Ms. Joanne (Eric) Williams Jackson, of Savannah, GA. Sister-in-Law, Ms. Dorris A. Williams of Albany, GA. Aunt, Mrs. Carolyn Turner of Albany, GA. A son-in-law, Dwight McGee of Pelham, GA; Grandchildren: Zandasia McGee of Pelham, GA; Zackery McGee of Pelham, GA; a great-grandson, Za'Kaire McGee of Pelham, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, friends and others, all of whom he loved.
