Ernestine "Tina" Maney

Ernestine "Tina" Maney, 79, of Rahway, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025. Born on May 15, 1946, in Sumner, Georgia, Tina later moved to Newark, NJ where she grew up and graduated from West Side High School. She made Rahway her home for more than 30 years, remaining there until her passing.
Tina was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She spent 18 years at Western Electric before beginning a long career at Riker Danzig and Marshall's, from which she eventually retired. A woman full of love and energy, Tina found joy in working, exercising, shopping, and spending meaningful time with her family. She loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, James "Wali" Maney; her granddaughter, Nahtesha Maney; and her three great-grandchildren, Amani, Aliyah, and Kyren. She is also survived by her mother, Edna Slade; her brothers, Dyrol and Tony; her nieces, Andrea' and Daria; and a host of aunts, cousins, extended family, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Tina is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Green, and her late former husband, James L. Maney, Sr.
Her legacy is one of strength, warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered with gratitude for the light she brought into every heart.
