In Loving Memory of Ernesto Miguel Arredondo Sr. May 8, 1941 – June 9, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ernesto Miguel Arredondo Sr., who departed this life on June 9, 2025, in Chino Hills, California, at the age of 84. Born on May 8, 1941, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Ernesto was a devoted and loving husband to the late Beatriz Galicia Arredondo, who preceded him in death on June 28, 2013. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and service. Ernesto was a proud and dedicated father to Elizabeth Duncan, Ernesto Arredondo Jr., Edoardo Arredondo, and Everardo Arredondo. He was also a kind and generous grandfather to his 13 grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Ernesto began his distinguished career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on July 12, 1971, rising to the rank of Sergeant before retiring on January 19, 1999. Known affectionately as a "deputies' sergeant," he earned deep respect for always prioritizing the safety and well-being of those under his command. In retirement, Ernesto embraced life to the fullest. He could often be found on the golf course with friends and family or riding one of his cherished motorcycles, a grandchild joyfully seated behind him. His infectious smile, warm spirit, and playful sense of humor lit up every room he entered. A passionate coach, Ernesto found great happiness in mentoring his sons through years of baseball, from tee-ball to high school. Some of the family's fondest memories were made on camping trips, where they spent hours riding horses together in the great outdoors. Ernesto leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service - one that will continue to live on through all who had the privilege of knowing him.
