Ernesto Castillo, 87, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Reinelda Castillo, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, in West Hartford. Born in El Salvador, son of the late Manuel Castillo Calvo and Maria Sara Navarro, he earned his BS in Electo-Mechanical Engineering and was employed by Acero s.a de c.v for 30 years at several rolling-steel mill facilities in El Salvador. He moved to the United States to work on the hardware store industry and to be closer to his family. Besides his beloved wife Reinelda he leaves his sons Jorge Castillo and his wife Lavinia, Diego Castillo and his wife Bethany, and his daughter Isis Carmona and her husband Eduardo; grandchildren Daniel and Emily Castillo, Sophia Castillo-Blain, and Zachary and Marcus Carmona; brothers Jaime, Jorge Castillo and Manuel DeJesus Castillo; sister Liza Castillo and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Manuel Enrique Castillo Rivas. Services for his family will be private. The Carmon Funeral Home of Windsor is caring for the arrangements.
