Peter A. Sayadoff Jr.

Peter A. Sayadoff, Jr., 39, of Columbia, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, with his loved ones by his side after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer.

Peter was born in Buffalo, NY, the son of Peter and Kathleen (Watras) Sayadoff, and graduated from East Aurora High School. He was employed as a foreman for Sifco Inc. in Windsor, CT.

Peter, an Eagle Scout, loved the outdoors and spent much of his time hiking, camping, and skiing in the mountains of New England and out West. He also enjoyed scuba diving for lobsters and attending music festivals with friends. Known to be strong-willed and hardworking, he had a deep loyalty for those he loved, and often showed generosity through his time and talents in areas of home improvement. Above all, he was a devoted father to his son, Preston. Some of his favorite moments were simple ones- sharing campfires, spending time at the beach, and passing along his passion for nature.

In addition to his mother, Kathleen Sayadoff of Fairport, NY, and his father, Peter and his wife Rachel B. Sayadoff of Boston, NY, he is survived by his son, Preston P. Sayadoff of Columbia, CT; his sister, Kristen Sayadoff of Bolton, CT; his girlfriend, Katlyn Heath and her daughter Skylar Klotzer of Coventry, CT; close friends, Jesse Green of Somers, CT and Richard Zee of East Aurora, NY; aunts and uncles, Dean and Susan (Watras) Anneser of West Granby, CT, John and Sally (Tracy) Sayadoff of Windsor, CT, Richard and Carol (Sayadoff) Sarkozy of Windsor, CT, and many cousins, friends, and his canine sidekick, Chili.

Peter was predeceased by grandparents, Henry and Margaret (Kellogg) Watras and Daniel and Marion (Hazen) Sayadoff; and uncles and aunt, Robert K. Sayadoff, Henry J. Watras, Daniel J. Sayadoff, and Robert and Lauren (Sayadoff) Gromak.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, March 21, 12-2 p.m., with a Time of Remembrance at 2 p.m., at the Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Rd., Windsor.

Burial will be private.
