Ernesto Jr. Obituary
Ernesto Mendoza, Jr., 61, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Ernie was born in Laredo, Texas to Ernesto, Sr. and Concepcion (Bernal) Mendoza on November 10, 1963. He married Tami L. Businger on October 18, 1991, and they divorced in 2002, and she survives. He is also survived by Carolyn Trent, mother of two of his children.
Ernie attended Bloom High School, Chicago Heights, IL. He was employed at Toledo Mold and Die in Bowling Green.
Ernie will be remembered for his warm heart and gentle spirit. He had a way of making everyone feel at ease. Soft-spoken and kind, he carried a quiet strength and had a great sense of humor. He never met a stranger, getting along with everyone through easy conversation and a laid-back nature. A true sports enthusiast, Ernie found joy in cheering on his favorite teams, whether it was a big game day with family or a quiet afternoon at home.
Ernie is survived by his mother, Concepcion; daughters, Autumn Nichole Mendoza (Jerry Crew), Jordan Leigh Mendoza (fiancé, Baldemar Saavedra III), Thalia Avianca Mendoza, and Alexandra Rose Trent; granddaughters, Melody Straley, Paisleigh Caskie, Natalee Foreman, and Nalanee Foreman; siblings, Concepcion (Alex) Yruegas, Norma (Jamie) Maas, Veronica (Emilio) Miranda, Jr., Ricardo (Alma) Mendoza, and Alexandro (Racheal) Mendoza.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernesto Mendoza, Sr.; grandmother, Nicolasa Vela; and grandparents, Felix and Josefina Mendoza.
Ernie's heart truly cherished his daughters and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his mother, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and the mothers of his children.
At the request of his family, all services will be private. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
