DELPHOS
James Hodgson, Jr. 'Jim' age 78 of Delphos passed September 25, 2025 at the James Cancer Center, Columbus, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Lima on January 20, 1947 to James Hodgson, Sr. and Alice (Stuttler) and they preceded him in death. On February 6, 1970 he married Patty S. (Binnion) and she passed away on October 16, 2020.
Jim is survived by his daughters; Kris Briggs of Bluffton and Lori (Dave) Ellis of Arlington. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Nicole Arnold, Mike Dailey, Kyle Ellis, Kevin Ellis, and Ashley Blackburn, and eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandson. His siblings are Susan (Don) Brinkman, Harold (Robin) Hodgson, Stephan (Mary) Hodgosn, he was preceded in death by a sister Maralee (Danny) Hicks.
Jim proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked for over 40 years at Trim Trends in Spencerville. He enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking and eating good food. He enjoyed playing ping pong and cards with his family and friends and also online. His favorite teams were the Browns an Ohio State. Loved his dog, Griffin. He truly loved his family. He chose Kris and Lori to be his daughters at a very young age and adopted them to be his own. He loved them and they loved him, he will be greatly missed by all.
It was Jim's request to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be to a Humane Society in his memory. Weber Funeral was entrusted to care for Jim.
