Tim Riley Short Sr., aka (Thor) passed away on September 15, 2025 at his residence in Delphos, Ohio.
He was born December 30, 1964 in Lima Ohio to parents, John T. and Susan K. (Riley) Short. On March 16, 1999 he married his beautiful wife, Carol M. (Fisher) Short and they had one son together John T. Short.
He is survived by his parents, John T. and Susan (Riley) Short; sons, Timothy R. Short Jr. and John T. Short; Carol had 2 sons, Shane E. Neuman and Chad M. Neuman (deceased); nephews, Eric W. Short, Ross Short and Jacob Short; nieces, Ericka B. Short and Allison Short. Tim had 3 grandchildren from his son Timothy Short Jr., Dylan R. Short, Aiden J. Short and Addilynn Short; and a brother, John Randall Short.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carol; and a brother, William P. Short.
Tim was a graduate from Shawnee High School in 1984. He worked at Kennedy Graphics as a CNC/Machinist as well as a Welder Fabricator for many years.
Tim loved his music and besides family, it was his passion in life. He was one of the best Blues/Rock pianist in the State of Ohio at one time. His band was voted best Blue/Rock in the state of Ohio as well at one time. He started playing the piano at age 4 and was presented with a scholarship for Juilliard Academy at the age of 12. He was definitely passionate about his music. He got his start in music from his Mother Susan K. Short and Brother Randy Short. He enjoyed cruising on his Harley Super Glide and also spent many years as one of the O.G. members of the Do Right Motorcycle Club. Most of all he enjoyed family. He was an amazing son and brother. He took pride in being a Father and Grandfather. He helped so many people along his journey in this life, shared many laughs and many stories. Tim Short has touched so many with his music and passion. He will be truly missed.
A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
