Poland – Ernesto Rodriguez-Yanes, 92, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday evening, December 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Havana, Cuba, on June 16, 1933, Ernesto was the son of Santos Rodriguez and Margarita Yanes. At the age of 20, he immigrated to the United States in pursuit of new opportunities and for a better life for his family. Through hard work and determination, he built a successful career in construction as a self-employed contractor.

A devoted husband, father, uncle, and grandfather, Ernesto's life was defined by his love for his family, whom he always placed above all else. He was a devout Christian and devoted himself to the Lord.

In 1974, Ernesto met the love of his life in Las Vegas, Mary Patricia (Lonardo) Rodriguez, with whom they shared 51 wonderful years together. They were married on July 10, 1977. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and enduring love.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Patricia, of Poland; his son, Ernest Rodriguez of Orlando, FL; and his daughters, Cathy Rodriguez of Youngstown, Ulisa Rodriguez Duh of New Springfield, OH, Angelina Rodriguez of Apollo Beach, FL, Margarita Rodriguez Kurtz of Poland, OH, and Zavanna Rodriguez of New Springfield, OH. He also leaves behind his best friend and brother, Jose Rodriguez of Costa Rica, many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews who will carry his memory in their heart-especially Zeida Duvall of Miami,FL., whom was his cherished confidant.

Ernesto was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Aracelio, Orestes, Humberto, Rodriguez, and his sister Mirtha Rodriguez.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Clemente Funeral Home, 10170 Main Street, New Middletown, Ohio 44442.
