Ernie Lee "Pappy" Weston, 74, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on March 3, 2026, peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was born on June 7, 1951 in Jamestown, Kentucky, to Perry Weston and Virginia (Coe) Howell. He retired from Scott County Highway Department as an Operator. Ernie married Edna Johnson on September 16, 1972. The couple had 2 children, Michael (Sarah) Weston and Tammy Sue Weston. Pappy enjoyed riding his Harley in his early years. But mostly loved to spend time with his family. Especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pappy is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Claude Weston, Roger Weston, Lewis Weston, James Weston, Leona Weston, and Brenda King. He is survived by his loving wife, Edna Weston; son, Michael (Sarah) Weston; daughter, Tammy Weston; four sisters, Bernice McCowan, Peggy (William) Vincent, Anna Blythe, and Faye (Dale) Armstrong; three grandchildren, Keisha Leigh (Nick Montgomery) Weston, Chelsey Sheyene (Derek) Weston, and Michael Troy West; seven great grandchildren, Davin, Dreden, Cruz, Bentley, Selena, Dawson, and Natalie; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 1:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be prior to the funeral Monday, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made in Ernie's name to National Kidney Foundation in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
