A gathering of family and friends will be held at Fletcher Funeral Home on Saturday, June 7, 2025, beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Errol Cahee was a resident of New Iberia, LA. Surrounded by family and friends, he departed his earthly life on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 6:54 P.M. at his residence.
He was a 1969 graduate of Jonas Henderson High School, where he was a member of the basketball team. He went on to attend Texas College in Tyler, TX. He also proudly served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974 and was honorably discharged.
Errol was employed in the salt industry for many years, working at Diamond Crystal Salt Mine and later with Morton Salt, where he dedicated 25 years of service before retiring.
Beyond his professional life, Errol had a passion for sports and music. He was a dedicated fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and Cincinnati Reds. He was an avid tennis player who enjoyed the game well into his later years. He was also a talented self-taught guitar player where he found joy and peace in music.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 52 years, Patricia Green Cahee of New Iberia, LA; two sons, Damien Michael Cahee (Tizona) of Youngsville, LA, and Marcus Dwayne Cahee of New Iberia, LA; two daughters, Patrice Alana Cahee and Latoya Tate of New Iberia, LA; six grandchildren, Devin, Tiana, Taevin, Tamia, Trent, and Brandon; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joyce Green and JoAnn Green Clay; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Auckley Cahee, Sr. and Louise Mitchell Cahee; two brothers, Auckley Cahee, Jr. and Eddie Cahee, Sr.; one sister, Sandra Cahee; and four nephews, Reginald O'Neal Cahee, Eddie Cahee, Jr., Brian Cahee, and Brad Cahee.

Another Texas College Alumni has ascended to heaven. Our Motto " Give them light and they will find their way". As Texas College Alumni &Ex-Student Association (TCAEA) Historian. Errol passing has been recorded in our records and he will be memorized/remembered in TEXAS COLLEGE 2025 Homecoming TCAEA Memorial Program.
