Ervin Walter Bellis, 91, of Woodburn, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 at The Cedars, Leo, Indiana.

Ervin was born in Paulding, Ohio on May 28, 1934, a son of the late Marguerite (Zirkelbach) and Frederick Bellis.

He made his living as a farmer and factory worker yet he was most comfortable reading a Louie Lamour book or watching a hearty western movie, while eating a drumstick ice cream cone. Ervin thoroughly enjoyed taking care of his lawn with his John Deere tractor and spending time with his family.

Ervin will be sadly missed by his children, Jo (Brian) Kline, Richard (Teresa) Bellis, Sr. and Laura (Mike) Larry; sister Delores (The late Glen) Clevenger and many beloved grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Bellis.

Viewing is 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 7th at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio.

His funeral service is 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 7th at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.

He will be laid to rest with military honors in St John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Payne.
