Ervin Parker

Ervin Parker, age 84, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026. He was born on September 8, 1941, in Belle Rose, Louisiana, to the late Samuel and Roselia Parker.

He was a member of The Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research and retired from Galleria Securities, where he dedicated many years of service.

Ervin leaves to cherish his loving memories, his devoted wife, Barbara D. Parker; four children, Dolores Parker, Darlene Parker, Dinah Sparks, and Frank Sparks; one cherished granddaughter, LaKeisha Parker; and three beloved great-grandsons, Nairobi, Cairo, and Jabari. He is also survived by his sister, Edna Chamberlain (late Tyree Chamberlain), and his brother, Frazier Parker (Corraine Parker).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Roselia Parker; his brothers, Joseph Parker (Earline), Samuel Parker (late, Louvinia), Warren Parker (Carolyn), and Gale Parker (Barbara); and his sisters, Mildred Polite, Elsie Mills and Alma Joseph.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a public visitation on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
