Esselene Asher, age 86, of Annville, Kentucky, passed away on December 6, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. Born on June 2, 1939, in Clay County, KY, Esselene was the cherished daughter of the late Lawrence and Molly Collett Jackson.
Esselene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Orville Asher. Her legacy lives on through her devoted children: Kelly Asher (Pauline) of Jackson County, Elsie Asher (Cleveland) of Manchester, Leonard Asher of Knox County, Ernie Asher (Lisa) of London, Colson Asher (Cathy) of London, Herbert Asher (Amy) of Jackson County, Glenn Asher (Nancy) of Knox County, Pauletta Asher of Bell County, Samuel Asher (Anna) of Jackson County, and Calvin Asher of Jackson County.
She was the proud grandmother to an extraordinary family, leaving behind 202 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Esselene is also survived by her brothers, Johnny Jackson of London, Phillip Jackson of London, and David Jackson of Manchester, as well as her sister, Eflene Smith of London.
Esselene was preceded in death by siblings U.S. Jackson, Paul Jackson, Wilk Jackson, Clark Jackson, Walden Jackson, and George Jr. Jackson. She is also mourned by the loss of her daughter-in-law, Terri, and son-in-law, Daniel.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on December 10, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM at Britton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on December 11, 2025, at Britton Funeral Home, officiated by Colson Asher, Ernie Asher, and Herman Asher. Esselene will be laid to rest at Darbys Branch Cemetery.
Esselene will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family, her kindness, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
