Essie Matoy Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Victoria Harrison Rose; husband, James C. Matoy; daughter, Wilma Jean Martin; and son, Jimmy Dean Matoy.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, James D. and Debbie Matoy, Emma Jean and Arlin Hamby, Randal and Holly Matoy, Judy Matoy, Rex Allen Matoy; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; son-in-law, Don Martin; sisters, Ruby Hayes, Edith Stallans; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece, Kim Hayes; special little boy Bentley Bright.
The graveside service will be 12:30 P.M., Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Millers Cemetery, Cody Matoy will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 P.M., Sunday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
