Estel Trader Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holloway Funeral Home - Pocomoke City on Jan. 13, 2026.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Estel Clarence Trader, Jr., affectionately known to friends and family as "Buddy" or "Biker Bud," who left this world on January 7, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on May 25, 1946, in Maryland, Buddy lived a life full of kindness, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Buddy was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 70, where he worked diligently throughout his career as a lineman. He served his country with honor in the National Guard, reflecting his deep commitment to both community and nation. Buddy was a true motorcycle enthusiast, riding the same Harley-Davidson for most of his life, even after several full rebuilds. His love for the open road was rivaled only by his affection for animals, especially cats. He was known for his politeness and warmth, qualities that endeared him to many.
He is survived by his sister, Billie Dee Wells; and brother, Howard "Vic" Trader. Buddy's legacy will be cherished by his family and friends, who will remember him for his adventurous spirit and compassionate heart.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Estel Trader, Sr. and Dorothy Trader Turner; his brother, John Trader; and his sister-in-law Sandy Trader.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Buddy's memory to consider donations to Oak Hall Rescue, 30057 Ambulance Road, P.O. Box 128, Oak Hall, VA 23416.
Estel "Buddy" Clarence Trader, Jr. will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
