Estella A. Brink, born on June 5, 1954, in
San Diego, California, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 28, 2026, in
Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 71. Her passing comes just twenty-three days after the loss of her beloved husband, LCDR (RET) James "Jim" Michael Brink, United States Navy. The couple shared over 52 years of marriage, having wed on August 27, 1973. Estella was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, embodying the quintessential Navy wife by supporting her husband throughout his career and raising their family with unwavering love and dedication. Her life's work was centered around caring for her husband, their three children, and three grandchildren, ensuring that their home was a place of safety and love. Our mother loved fiercely and without condition. When her heart broke it did so because it had given everything. We honor her by remembering her gentleness, devotion, and the love that defined her life. What a beautiful love story, to be together in heaven again. In addition to her cherished husband, James "Jim" Brink; she also was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor Ybarra and Alfred Mejia Alvarez; her sisters, Thelma Jaurequi and Carmen M. Ramirez; and her brothers, Mario Hinijosa, Jesse Bojorquez, and Angel Alvarez.
