Estelle Beard, 94, a retired operation ticket clerk at Garan, Inc., died Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Baptist Hospital-Attala.
Visitation is 10:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at Edinburg. Services are 11:00 am Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at Mt Carmel Baptist Church with Bro. Rusty Vowell officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Beard was a native of Leake County and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Stewart Beard; son, Stewart Glen Beard; a daughter, Jo Evans.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Allen of Carthage; a son; Joey Beard of Starkville, Ms, a sister, Lavelle Goodwin of Carthage; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Trace Beard, Tanner Wilcher, Terrel Lee Wilcher, Mark Sullivan, Bruce Burns, and Stephen Horne.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris Malone, Donnie J. Malone, Joe Lynn Henry, David Dowell, Greg Malone, Bill Stewart, James Evans, and Larry Martin.
