Estes Pass Obituary
Mr. Estes “Teaser” Pass, age 91 of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Friday, June 20th, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Pass was born in Gordon County on September 28th, 1933, a son of the late Jim Pass and the late Delta Burnett Pass. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Pass; two sons, Steven “Yogi” Pass and Tim Pass; three step-children, Melinda Fisher, Mitchell Akins, and Jeff Akins; two grandchildren, Shannon and Josh. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the City of Calhoun as superintendent of the water treatment plant. He was a member of Victory Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. JoAnn Pass; daughter and son-in-law, Joi and Mart Townsend; daughter-in-law, Becky Akins; sister, Nina Newman; grandchildren, Jacob, Blayde, Dallas, Angie, Brandon, Allan, and Stephanie; several great-grandchildren; and several nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, at 12 PM in the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include Jacob Townsend, Blayde Townsend, Mart Townsend, Allan Pass, Taylor Gallman, and Keith Young.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 23rd, from 4 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
