Esther Alteri Obituary
Lou was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she cherished the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed family reunions at Keuka Lake, traveling, and spending winters in Naples, Florida. Lou was a communicant of All Saints Parish and volunteered at Corning Hospital, both the old and new locations, for many years, and she worked for the Board of Education at Corning School District.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank Alteri, sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Kelley Alteri of Preston, Maryland, Tim and Lisa Alteri of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Richard and Dawn Alteri of St. Paul, Minnesota, nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by special friends, Connie Feehan, Karin and Chris Larrabee, and Debbie Hall.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 West Pulteney Street on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 155 State Street, Corning. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
