Esther Julia Flint

Dover - Esther Julia Flint passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, in Dover, New Hampshire. Esther was born in Sanford, Maine and the daughter of Paul Sawyer and Edna Monahan Sawyer. She was a long-time resident of Rochester, New Hampshire before moving to Spring Hill, Florida.

Esther loved music and was an exceptional singer, piano player and dancer. She performed with her late husband, Charles "Tracy" Flint in several musicals, including productions of Camelot and Oklahoma by the General Electric Choir of Somersworth, New Hampshire.

Throughout her life, Esther was a devout Christian Scientist and believed strongly in the power of God and his love for us all.

Esther is survived by a son, Charles T. Flint, Jr. of Clemson, SC and his wife Lark, a daughter Sandy Lazarus of Dover and her husband George. Esther will be missed by four granddaughters Jennifer Richards of Newmarket, NH and her husband Brian, Teal Johnson of Charlotte, NC and her husband Wil, Elizabeth Jenkins of Newmarket, NH and her husband Jon, and Robin Chambers of Pittsburgh, PA and her husband David. Great grandchildren include, Avery Richards, Jack Richards, Charlie Jenkins, Emmaline Jenkins, Grayson Johnson and Reid Johnson. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Esther is predeceased by her parents, her husband, a brother, Carlton Sawyer, and a sister Louis Sawyer.

In lieu of flowers, Esther's request was to have donations made to First Church of Christ Scientist, 604 Central Ave., Dover, NH 03820.

A visitation will be held at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home in Newmarket, NH on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 11 am to 12 pm with a memorial service performed at noon. Burial will be held at a later date with immediate family.
