Esther Gosdin

Esther Gosdin, 66, gained her Heavenly wings on December 6, 2025 in Granbury, Texas. Esther was born on October 17, 1959 to John Herbert Smith and Reba Joyce Green Smith in Ennis, Texas.
Esther worked as a nurse for nearly 30 years and earned her master's degree in nursing. She was dedicated to her profession and proud of her accomplishments in healthcare. Outside of work, she enjoyed running, skydiving and staying active throughout her life. She loved her children and cared deeply for her family.
Esther was preceded in death by her mother, Reba Joyce Green Smith; her father, John Herbert Smith; and her brother, Michael Wayne Smith.
Esther is survived by her husband, Kevin Leslie; she is lovingly remembered by her children: daughter, Brooke Montoya, and her husband Jonathan Montoya, and grandchildren Drake Montoya and Lucca Montoya; son, Sean Gosdin, and his wife Tiffany Joco, and grandchildren Owen Gosdin and Clair Gosdin, daughter, Rebecca Gosdin; daughter, Amanda Gosdin; former husband of more than 40 years, Don Gosdin; sister, Rachel Bartley, and brother-in-law Rickey Bartley and her two nieces Stacey Ehrig and Stephanie Gladney and eight great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
Services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas beginning at 2:00 PM.
Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
