Esther O. Grimm

Esther Iverson Grimm of Chisago City, MN passed away June 10. Preceded in death by husband Gordy, son Jim, her mother and father and all of her 7 siblings. All of whom she was looking forward to being with again.
Survived by and sadly missed by son John (Amy) of Minnetonka, MN and daughter Mary (Dan) Halvorson of Center City, MN; grandchildren Wes and Morgan Grimm and Olivia Halvorson; and many nieces and nephews.
Esther was born on January 29, 1933 in Clarkfield, MN. She attended Fairview Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse. Esther was a lover of any board or card game, fishing anywhere with her family, cross-stitching, laughing, traveling, eating Norwegian lefsa, lutefisk and potato klub. She kept the door to the house always open and visitors were warmly welcomed. There was no need to knock. Esther was a fun and vibrant host, a great cook who shared many meals around the family table. She was resilient and a strong advocate for her children; a caregiver to the core. She had a wonderful life filled with family and friends.
