Esther Mae Lamping, age 96, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025. Born in Cincinnati on May 11, 1929, she was the daughter of Verdi M. Billet (née Gosnell).
Esther was preceded in death by her mother, Verdi M. Billet, and her beloved husband, Edmund John Lamping. She is survived by her son, Edmund Michael (Marsha) Lamping; grandchildren Timmy (Amy) Smith, Missy (Steve) Smith-Wilson, Josh Smith, and Krista Lamping; great-grandchildren Alissa Smith, Jake Wilson, Kaelynn Smith, and Timmy Smith Jr.; along with a cherished circle of family members and friends.
Esther was a remarkable woman known for her unwavering positivity and sassy spirit. She was a dedicated caregiver, a hard worker, and a loving wife to a veteran. Esther had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and was an exceptional cook, with a particular fondness for sweets.
Her legacy of love and kindness will forever be celebrated by all who knew her.
