Estherrene Rebecca Coleman, known lovingly by friends and family as Becky, passed away on April 5, 2025 at the age of 71. She was born November 13, 1953 in Wichita, KS to her mother, Thelma Mae Duckett. A woman of God and deep creativity, Estherrene tried her hand at almost everything, always eager to explore and learn. She was a beacon of love, warmth, and compassion. Her family was her world, and she cherished the bond she had with each and every one of them. She had a heart that was larger than life and a spirit that radiated positivity. Her husband fondly remembers his beloved wife, saying, "I love my baby."
Estherrene is survived by her devoted husband, Paul M. Coleman, and their son, Quinn A. McCray. Her legacy lives on through her siblings, Velma Taylor, Veola Jean Washington, Nellie Duckett-Wheaton, David Duckett, and John Duckett. Her niece, Christina Duckett, nephews, Preeloe Duckett, and Kris E. Thompson, and niece, Syreeta R. Pryor, will miss their dear aunt. Estherrene's joy was magnified by her grandchildren, Heaven Alishe' McCray, Drayden Anthony McCray, and Luckyunna Ellis, and her great-grandchildren, Percy-Harlem Anthony Wade and Davon M. Gill Jr., Her great-nieces and great-nephews, Donzae Thomas, Shoshone Sanchez, Quami Gyawu, Skylen Gyawu, Kwesi Gyawu, Teasia Collins, Akavian Thompson, Antwain Collins, Akasha Thompson, Ashanti Duckett, Miracle Duckett, Lil Kris Thompson, Praley Duckett, Moses Duckett, and Kryslyn Thompson, and a host of nieces and nephews who will remember their aunt with fondness.
She is preceded in death by her son, Tellus J. Colvin, her mother, Thelma M. Duckett, her brothers, Roderick Duckett and Meshack Duckett, and brother-in-law Lulanger Washington. Their memories are a treasure to Estherrene's family, and they will forever be remembered in their hearts.
