Etha Mae "Red" Darrough, 76, of Star City, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Gardner Nursing and Rehab in Star City, AR. She was born September 25, 1948, in Cornersville, AR to the late Luther and Vada Lee Johnson Darrough. Etha gave her life to the Lord at a young age. She loved to fish, spend time with her family, and going to church. She was retired from Lincoln County Nursing Home. In addition to her parents, Etha is also preceded in death by her sister, Eloise Dailey and husband Kenneth Dailey; a niece, Jesseca Darrough; and her life partner, Willie Mitchell.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Willo Allen of Star City and Dorothy Watson of Cornersville and husband Kenneth; two sons, Steve Mitchell of Pine Bluff and Willie Mitchell, Jr. and wife Dora of Missouri; one daughter, Sharon Mitchell of Pine Bluff; nephews, Jesse Darrough, Gary Darrough, Kenyon Dailey and wife Kara, Tracey Welch and wife Sabrina, Kendrick Watson and wife Lanetta, Devonte Darrough, Korlys Darrough, Kriston Watson and Chasten Brown; nieces, LaKendra Watson, Belinda Hudson, Kendriana Watson, Ceanna Bullard and Carmen Darrough; as well as a host of other nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at St. Ollie Missionary Baptist Church in Star City, AR with Rev. Felton Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Gould, AR. You can sign Mrs. Etha's guestbook registry on this page.
