Ethel Godwin Davis, 88, of Barwick, GA, passed away on Thursday – October 16, 2025. Ethel was born on July 31, 1937 in Climax, GA, to the late Allen T. Godwin and Rener Wynn Godwin.

She was married to Alton Davis, Sr. for over 33 years, who preceded her in death on August 19, 1990. Together they owned the family business Davis Nursery. Ethel was full of so much love. She was always thinking of others before herself. She enjoyed the little things like fishing in the mornings. She would take snacks with her down to the Suwanee River and spend the day there with her fishing pole. She loved big Sunday dinners, cooking, and being with her family. She absolutely adored her grandchildren including her grand-pups, Bo & Sadie and they adored her just as much. She will always be missed and forever loved.

She is survived by; her children, Diane Manley of Barwick, GA, Debra Griner (Mitch Beaty) of Pavo, GA, and Darlene Barry (Harold) of Suwanee, FL, grandchildren, Christy Drew (Terry), Michael Manley, Joe Griner (Maryann), Melissa Griner O'neal, Harold "Bebo" Barry (Alicia), and April Vinson (Michael), 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Ann Bass, and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by; her children, Alton Davis, Jr., and Donna Davis, and a sister, Betty Jean Anderson.
