Ethel Shands Smith, 91, of Inman, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 4, 2023.
Born in Pauline, South Carolina on January 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Marie (Bruce) Shands and J. Ellis Shands and was the wife of the late Marvin D. Smith.
Mrs. Smith worked as a nurse for many years and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.
She was also predeceased by her brother, Ellis Bruce Shands and her sister-in-law in law, Mary Helen Shands. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The family will conduct a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 SC 56, Pauline SC 29341 with Dr. Tommy Turner and Rev. Paul Edwards officiating.
