Etta Baron Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Etta Baron, who peacefully passed away in her sleep on Thursday, November 20, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 85 years old. Born on September 2, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, Etta lived a life full of love, kindness, and devotion. She was a source of strength and wisdom for all who knew her, and her gentle spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Etta is survived by her long term companion, Russ Dodd, her three daughters, Donna Kolberg, Tammy Kolberg, and Lynn Kolberg, four grandchildren, Dawn Owen, Davin Dyslin, Cody Hanson, Austin Kolberg, and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Addison, Chase, and Dylan.
She was a cherished matriarch, always putting the needs of her family first and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her nurturing heart and unwavering support will live on in the generations she leaves behind. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A private family service will be held in her honor.
We take comfort in knowing that Etta is at peace, reunited with those who preceded her, and that her love will continue to surround us in the days ahead.

We were neighbors to her daughter Lynn and grandson Austin, when we first met her. Etta was always smiling when we saw her. Always talked of things her daughters did while growing up and how proud she was of them and her grandchildren. She was always picking on Russ and laughing. She was always a pleasure to be around. She will truly be missed. We will miss your smiling face Etta, it is now time for you to rest, and we shall see you again someday. :-) Love ya, Bev and Will
