Etta Mae Bailey Bennett, of Cleveland, age 89, passed away quietly at her home on January 26, 2025. Etta was a member of Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was happiest when surrounded by her family for birthdays, Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings.
Etta was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Bennett; parents, Minnie Bailey Swift, and Ira Bailey; stepfather Clifford Swift; sisters Mary Bailey Knight and Ellen Ruth Bailey; brothers James Bailey and Ira Bailey.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Mylan and Janet Bennett, of Smyrna; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Alan McManamay, Sherry LeCroy, Melissa and Robert Smith, all of Cleveland; grandchildren Bridget (Brian) Pruitt, Amy (Chad) Grundy, Laurie LeCroy, and Robert Smith; great-grandchildren Nathaniel (Anna) Pruitt, Natalie (Levi) Geesey, Ashley Grundy, Allison Grundy, Chad Grundy, Annabelle Stepp, and Matheo Lecroy; sisters Mamie Brogdon, Janice Norman (Dennis), all of Cleveland, Betty Gillian (Tex), of Cohutta, GA. Mrs. Bennett will be interred at the Mausoleum at Hamilton Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2025, with Poole Funeral Home at Fike Chapel directing,
