Etta Endsley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hanner Funeral Service on Nov. 7, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

On November 6, 2025, at 87 years young, Etta Faye Endsley made a beeline to the most beautiful gates leading to the most beautiful place. A place she'd been longing for.
Faye was born on May 21, 1938 to Hazel and Ernest Williams in Forrest, Louisiana. When she was 20 years old she married the love of her life, Eddie Endsley, and they made their home and grew their family in Bloomburg, TX. Faye worked for the Atlanta Independent School District for 30 years in the cafeteria, doing what she loved, cooking for her favorite people, the kids.
She was an active and devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she could always be found lending a hand in the kitchen during any given time a meal was prepared, or a VBS cookie and cup of kool-aid was served. Faye loved being a part of the YAH group, Young at Heart, or as she liked to refer to it, the old folks group. She also held back-to-back titles for best dressed at the Valentines Banquet with her 1950's poodle skirt and cowgirl get-up. When she was in, she was all in.
Faye was a firecracker, in all the right ways. To know her was to love her. She gave the best advice, was honest to the core, had the quickest wit, best laugh, brightest smile, and a servant's heart that was unmatched. She never missed returning a call that was left on her answering machine either. She was one of the toughest and bravest women, a true force of resilience and grace, with faith and prayers that could move mountains. Her greatest treasures were her family and friends, and her Thanksgiving dressing.
It is certain she had the most special welcoming committee that precious moment she strolled thru the gates; her parents, her husband Eddie, sister Ethel Booth & brother Junior Williams.
Those left to celebrate her being with her Jesus, while also holding tight to the memories and legacy she left are; her son Dwayne (Becky) Endsley, daughter Kellie (Bruce) Guillaum, granddaughters April (Jarred) Lemmon, Stephanie (Chance) Fahrney, Samantha (Chris) Greer, grandson Adam (Shelby) Terry, great grands Austin & Peyton Fahrney, Maysen & Kolton Lemmon, Adley, Paisley & Lainey Terry, sisters Irma Davis & Gracie Baty, niece Leah West, the Brazoria family, and dear friends Aaronia Baxley & Kathy James.
Faye's love never wavered, and she always made sure you knew how much you meant to her. She was the glue that held everyone and everything together, and being called Memaw was the honor she cherished most. She was a blessing to all who were fortunate to know her.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church in Bloomburg.
Services will be held immediately after at 2PM, with graveside following at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, in Ravanna, AR. Services will be led by Bro. David Baxley & Bro. Gene Parker.
If you have a favorite recipe, bring a copy and leave by the guest book. The family would
like to create a special cookbook, built by all those who cherished and adored Faye as much as they did.
